The colleges and universities of the Western New York Consortium of Higher Education would like to invite YOU to participate in our Annual College Tour. The Consortium is a diverse group of two-year and four-year, public and private institutions located in and around Buffalo, New York. We offer a variety of academic programs and campus environments.

We have put together a meaningful, comprehensive and enjoyable program, which will allow you to get to know the Western New York Consortium colleges through visits to our campuses and meetings with students, faculty, and staff.  Hundreds of counselors have found the WNY Tour to be a cost-effective and enjoyable way of visiting popular colleges, meeting colleagues, and experiencing the welcoming nature of Western New York.  The tour will include various social activities including a trip to Niagara Falls as well as a brewery visit in the southern tier of Western New York.

Western New York offers a wide variety of college choices. In order to keep the tour manageable for participants, ten schools will be toured. Additional colleges will participate in the Evening in Buffalo, offering participants an opportunity to visit college tables and talk with admissions representatives.

Enrollment is limited to 40 counselors.  We will be accepting online registrations on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrations, along with the $250 (US funds) non-refundable registration fee, need to be received in order to confirm your seat. Registration forms received after the initial slots are full will be placed on a wait list. The Consortium will provide all transportation during the tour; lodging and meals beginning Sunday evening. For those traveling by air to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF), taxi service is available to the hotel at a nominal fee.

There’s no dress code for this tour; we simply want you to be comfortable. Since you’ll be doing a lot of walking, comfortable shoes are a must. Also, spring in Western New York is changeable, to put it mildly. We could have a chilly downpour, a premature heat wave, or both! So, try to plan accordingly. We hope you will be able to join us. Should you have any questions regarding the tour, please feel free to contact Brett Talbot at 607-587-3949.
